Camerooon-American Council isa leading advocacy organization for Cameroonian and African immigrants in the United States.
Currently, its CEO is spearheading a new campaign called "Takembeng Take Over Ten States".
The focus is on activating the congressional leadership in ten states with large African immigrant populations to address issues faced by the Cameroonian community at home and abroad. This campaign builds on CAC's work to bring attention to the humanitarian crisis in Cameroon among American Policymakers.
CAC's work has built capacity, relevance and visibility. In July 2019, US Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) cited the leadership of Sylvie Bello and the Cameroon-American Council on its advocacy in getting Senate Resolution 292 on Cameroon introduced .

In August 2019, the leading publication, Foreign Policy, cited Sylvie Bello and her leadership of CAC as a key voice in Washington countering the high priced lobbyists hired by Cameroon's dictator Paul Biya.

The bare bones cost is $5000 for 10 states. While the Cameroon Government is paying $50,000/month for lobbyists.
