Take Lori to the beach ☀️

Hi my name is Brittany and I am fundraising to help Lori’s family fulfill her final wish to sit along side the ocean with her family just one time❤️

Lori MciIwain, age 60, was diagnosed in 2021 with triple negative breast cancer. She then began the fight of her life and underwent extensive chemotherapy. Lori and her family became optimistic upon chemo completion- doctors said she would not in fact need her breasts removed, but instead would only need to keep up on routine MRI and CAT scans to make sure she stayed cancer free. Then in 2022, Lori began to experience hallucinations that only became more frequent as time went on. She also started to lose her sight which lead to doctors finding a brain tumor pressing directly on her optic nerve, leading her to be diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. Sadly there is no cure for this stage and all Lori can do is prolong her life from a few weeks to up to 6 months with radiation. Lori has chosen the radiation to spend as much time with her wife Melissa, two children, Melissa (Josh) and James (Andrea), and four grandchildren- Langstin, Tatum, Payton and Russell as possible. Lori has expressed that her one wish is to be able to sit in the sand at the beach with her family and watch her grandkids play while the sun warms their face. But because no one can truly predict how long Lori’s life may be, her family isn’t left with much time to save up the money to grant Lori’s last wish. Therefore I am setting up this account to help Lori’s family spend some uninterrupted time with their mom by the ocean for one week in Ocean City. Lori was a mom to so many of us not only in school but as adults, let’s show her how much her life has meant to us all and send her to the beach ❤️
