On December 28th, Taija (Neilga Koogéi) On December 28th, Taija returned home from visiting family in Anchorage to her door busted open and her home ransacked. Amongst the trauma of having someone completely tear her house apart, the perpetrator stole her grandmother's regalia; the perpetrator took 20 years of gifted jewelry, clothes, camping gear, passports and other documents, and many other sentimental items.

The pride and generational love we feel when we put on our regalia and items gifted or passed down to us are unexplainable.
