On Tahir’s Birthday, we kick off the The Tahir Koylass Outstanding Scholarship Award (TKOSA). It is our deepest honor to continue to offer support in his name.
This annual scholarship award recognizes graduating seniors from the University of Chicago's Collegiate Scholars Program. Since 2016, we have raised almost $40,000 and have supported eleven first year college students in their college journey.
Your donation will help us continue Tahir's legacy and provide much needed support to students aspiring to change their lives through education.
Tahir participated in the Collegiate Scholars Program from Spring 2012 to Spring 2015. During 18 months of this time, he fought a courageous battle against a rare brain tumor. He ultimately lost his battle on April 24, 2015.
Recipients of the Tahir Koylass Outstanding Scholar Award will embody outstanding resiliency, civic engagement, and academic curiosity that Tahir exhibited during his tenure in the Collegiate Scholars Program.
