My name is Yama Raufi , and I am writing this with a mixture of overwhelming pride and profound urgency about my little sister, Tabsum.

Tabsum is 20 years old, and she is a beacon of resilience. She was in the second year of her Engineering faculty when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan,We are from Afghanistan, a country where, heartbreakingly, the doors to universities and schools have been slammed shut for girls like her. But Tabsum refused to let her light be extinguished. While facing immense obstacles and living under a regime that denies her fundamental right to learn, she studied in secret, she persevered, and she held onto a dream that so many have been forced to abandon.

And now, a miracle has happened. Through her incredible hard work and unwavering perseverance, Tabsum has received an acceptance letter from the University of Almaty in Kazakhstan! Not only that, but she has also been granted a scholarship. This is more than an acceptance letter; it is a lifeline. It is a validation of her struggle and a chance to step out of the darkness and into the light. It is a dream that has dared to become real.

However, our immense joy is tempered by a harsh reality. The scholarship covers her tuition, but we are now facing significant financial difficulties to actually get her there. The travel expenses from Afghanistan to Kazakhstan, along with the required hostel fees for her living expenses, will cost approximately $2,000. For our family, this is an impossible sum.

This $2,000 is not just a number; it is the key that unlocks the door. It is the difference between a future built and a future deferred. It is the cost of hope itself.
