Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund - Abaco Bahamas
Donation protected
Hi my name is Mack Altidor, and I am a resident of Marsh Harbour, Abaco Bahamas.
On the morning of Sunday September 1st, 2019 our island of Abaco suffered a direct hit from Hurricane Dorian. As a category 5 storm, with wind speed 185 MPH and moving at a very slow 5 MPH rate. This makes Dorian the biggest storm to touch down in the Bahamas and the second largest storm to be recorded. At the writing of this email we can confirm that this deadly, catastrophic storm has taking the lives of many women and children and have left more than 80% of the island displaced and seeking shelter.
I’ve always pride myself at being a first responder to the people of Abaco whenever disaster strikes, as you will see in the links below. However, with a storm of this magnitude and the amount of damages sustained, and about 40,000+ persons affected in Abaco alone, I have no choice but to reach out to a few of my friends and the general public for assistance.

Hello, thank you all for your outstanding love and support thus far!
I am Chris Flack, co-organizer for this gofundme.
Since gofundme wasn't available in the Bahamas, I set this up in the U.S. so that the families and communities affected in Abaco could still have the same opportunities to receive monetary help.
Upon withdrawing any funds they will be divvied up to make the appropriate payments and arrangements towards the above mentioned needs and necessities.
Again, thanks for all the support so far!
