La mamá de nuestra mejor amiga, Yuma, fue diagnosticada con cáncer de mama.

Y no estamos hablando de cualquier persona — Yuma es fuerza pura. Es una mamá, una luchadora, una mujer llena de luz, de amor y de entrega. Siempre ha puesto a los demás por delante, siempre ha estado para los suyos, con abrazos que sanan, palabras que calman el alma y un amor incondicional que sostiene a toda su familia.

Yuma ya ha dado peleas enormes.

Ha cumplido con sus ciclos de quimioterapia y también pasó por una cirugía de mastectomía bilateral. Ha sido un camino duro, doloroso y agotador… pero ella sigue luchando con una valentía que nos inspira todos los días.

Ahora necesita completar la fase final de su tratamiento: 30 sesiones de radioterapia, fundamentales para reducir el riesgo de que el cáncer regrese y darle una verdadera oportunidad de recuperación.

El costo de esta etapa es de $4,100 dólares, un monto con el que no contamos.

Estamos contra el tiempo.

La radioterapia debe iniciarse lo antes posible, y cada día que pasa sin poder comenzar reduce sus posibilidades. Su familia está haciendo todo lo que puede. Nosotros también.
