Help us feed some of Milford's neediest residents
Donation protected
With the help of both financial donations and the donations of meal ingredients, Cooked with Love has been preparing and serving 100+ hot, homemade dinners to some of Milford's neediest residents every fourth Friday night at the Beth-El Center Soup Kitchen. It’s one of the few nights each month when the families and individuals who rely on Beth El get a hot nighttime meal. Most days, it’s just lunch that the Soup Kitchen is able to serve. So to say that the people Cooked with Love serves are grateful for the warm food and company we provide is an understatement. Hunger and food insecurity here in Milford are shockingly huge problems. But you can help.
Each month, Cooked with Love asks people to donate the ingredients for our meals, but we don’t always get what we need or enough. And unfortunately, none of us who volunteer for Cooked with Love can afford to alone provide the hundreds it costs to feed this many people each month – though many months, coming up with that money is exactly what we have had to do.
If you give a little, and someone else gives a little, and then someone else gives a little, we can together do a lot. Please consider making a financial contribution to Cooked with Love, so together we can continue this critical program that not just serves up a delicious and nutritious hot dinner to some of our most vulnerable residents, but also provides them with take-home bags of fresh fruit and leftovers, along with a few hours of compassion, respect and fun.
