My son was in a bad car accident in Savannah that was caused by a police chase over a stolen vehicle. My son was trying to be responsible; his birthday was the night before, and he got a designated driver to go to a cornhole tournament. They were on their way home when the driver of a stolen vehicle cut in front of them. My son took the brunt of the accident in the passenger side. He has a lot of bumps and bruises, cuts on his head, CT scan showing internal bruising. Neck and back pain are on going.

The driver of the stolen car escaped, and Savannah police are claiming they called off the chase just prior to the collision, even though there were multiple patrol cars there within a minute of the accident. As well as one officer telling him they were in pursuit. The police report also states a gun was found in the stolen car. My son also talked to a police officer who was on the scene, and only he and one other officer were willing to go into the woods and search for the suspect.

Car insurance is only willing to pay so much without somebody to go after. Lawyers say with police saying they called off the pursuit prior to the accident, there is no case. But for now, my son just needs help with getting a car!!! He didn't cause this, he was being responsible, and this stupidity happened that he/we can't financially figure out!! He just needs a car to get to and from work, nothing fancy. Any help would be appreciated!!!
