Help Me Get My Son Back

On October 9th, I was denied the right to see my son, Oliver, by his mother. Before that day, I hadn’t seen my son in 2.5 weeks and I have yet to see him since. My heart is broken from not being able to play and laugh with him, hold him, and tell him how much I love him.
His mother and I have been cordial and peaceful for 3.5 years. There has never once been a problem between us or with me seeing my own son. During those years, I saw him almost every weekend and never missed an opportunity to be with him and be a good father. I am super involved in my son’s life, so not seeing him is tearing me apart.
Since his mother and I were never married, I have no rights as a father since I’m not legitimized. In order to be legitimized and gain joint-custody of my son so this can never happen again, I must hire a lawyer and go through the grueling process of fighting for the right to see him in court.
I would never ask for help unless I absolutely needed it, but nothing means more to me than my son, so I will do whatever needs to be done. Lawyer fees are between $5,000 - $10,000 and court fees range from $3,000 - $8,000.
Our family would be incredibly thankful if you would help us with these court/lawyer expenses to allow Oliver to have a life that includes a very involved, loving father and wonderful grandparents.
