Helping Kilburn Irish Pensioners

Sisk and Harringtons would like to invite you all to join us in becoming a sponsor for the Empower Kilburn’s Pensioners charity. We aim to raise £15,000 to employ a dedicated advice caseworker. The charity is currently relying on a volunteer to provide support for the elderly Irish community in Kilburn and this money will allow them to employ the volunteer direct.

The Advice Service based at Quex Road is a service that tackles the effects of poverty and improves people’s health and wellbeing especially those with a limiting health condition or disability. The aim of this Service is to avoid hardship by supporting vulnerable members of society to access their entitlements & to meet basic/critical needs primarily targeting the older members of the Irish Community. The Service protects the dignity, wellbeing and welfare of the older Irish generation who are often isolated and lacking knowledge of possible welfare entitlements. The service provides a gateway to welfare entitlements & all associated premiums and benefits in a very inclusive setting making it easily accessible & approachable.
