Saying goodbye to FDComm

Hey everyone, I hope you are well.

I wanted to take a moment to address you, our dance community in this challenging time. It has been a pleasure getting to know you all.  Thank you for the countless dances, for the laughs and kindnesses, for your support, love, and for being there for FDComm over the many, many, many years.

Unfortunately, I have made the difficult decision to give up the studio space (16 Wyndham St. N, downtown Guelph). The future remains uncertain, and it’s just not possible for us to generate the revenue required to keep the studio.

However, the Flying Dance Community is in all of you, and so of course, we will continue on. Yes it is bitter sweet, to lose a space so filled with memories… and also a BRAND NEW DANCE FLOOR which we installed just months before the closure. It is hard. But our team is looking forward to the future and is excited about what is to come.

For the time being, we will be running moonlight dancing into the fall season on Tuesdays and Thursdays, until the weather prevents us. We will also be offering private lessons in the studio in the fall (Sept/Oct), so take advantage of this while we still have the space and access to that new floor. (MOONLIGHT DANCING IN NOW CANCELLED DUE TO RESTRICTIONS)

We will then be taking a break for the winter, undergoing a full closure while we transition through this time. We are forever hopeful that we will be back in the late spring (May 2020), with many exciting things to come – of that we are certain.
