Peterson Family - Help us Grow

As some of you may know, my wife Jenifer and I want to grow our family more than anything in this world. Having our son Braydon has brought more joy to us than we could have ever imagined and now we want to grow our family and give Braydon a little brother or sister. However, because of multiple health complications/issues out of our control, we are unable to have any children of our own…the natural way. We have seen doctor after doctor and specialist after specialist and they all have the same opinion, that the risk is too high for Jenifer to carry a child again. We have researched adoption, foster-to-adopt, etc. but we keep coming back to the fact that it is possible for us to have a child of our own and we have an overwhelming feeling that this is what we want to do.
As I mentioned, we can’t do it on our own. We are going to use a Gestational Carrier to help us have our own child. As you can imagine this process is not cheap and our Health Insurance covers nothing. We understand this is going to be a very long road with a lot of financial stress put on our small family but this is a sacrifice we are willing to make to grow our family. With that said, this is the reason we are posting this today.
Jenifer and I have gone back and forth (for some time now) on whether we should even post this as we feel a little uncomfortable about not only posting so openly about our personal family lives but also reaching out to those we know and love for help. With that said, we are VERY humbly reaching out to everyone to ask for any help that you are willing to give…no matter how much, every little bit will help. Our first financial hurdle is to do the IVF treatments which will cost $14K (none of which is covered by our insurance). Jenifer and I are committed to making this work and to grow our family. Jenifer and I are also applying for fertility loans to help cover medications and also compensation for the carrier herself but we need help to take this first step. We both know that family is the greatest blessing and the most important thing on this earth, which is why we feel so strongly and are so willing to do whatever it takes to make this happen. We love and appreciate everyone…even if you do not donate anything, please know we still love and appreciate you for your thoughts, prayers, and support and please help us spread our story by sharing this link
