Assalamualaikum dear brothers and sisters!
InshaAllah this message reaches as many community members as possible. I am writing on behalf of a family of six, that is a family of our Muslim community. They remain anonymous because we want to keep their dignity in tact and still get the help they so deserve to ease them from this hardship. Alhamdulilah, I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful project, inshaAllah to raise money for them, as they are such good people, with good hearts mashaAllah and so deserving of this help.
This family has received a wonderful and very essential offer to be able to move into a housing unit that fits their income. The issue is that the mother will be having surgery in two weeks and all four of the children are financially dependent on her. She is currently disabled, which has left them with nothing. This family has faced tremendous hardship due to lack of government support and family support as well, and disability leaving them in tremendous financial distress to be able to pay to break the lease of one they cannot afford or even move into a home that does actually fit their financial capacity.
The immediate expenses have been added up, with an extra $1,000 I added in for their food, gas, and other necessities during and after moving. Their intentions are to use the money to move, and to have transportation during and after the move. To pay for all back expenses that have built up to a point there is no way they can pay it, and food for their family inshaAllah. They have very little food, no reliable transportation, and are facing not only eviction from where they are living, but a deposit and first month's rent on the new place as well as a fee to break the lease from where they’re living right now.
InshaAllah, they are in an extremely difficult position that has fallen to EMERGENCY status and this has caused much stress on the mother and children. They have turned to me for help in asking the community to come together, so that they will be able to move into the housing unit and provide for the children in the way that is MUCH needed. They have until the end of the week inshaAllah, to leave their home and then to come up with the finances to pay for the new housing or else the opportunity will be given to another needy family. If they cannot, they will be homeless and that puts them in an even worse situation than they are at the moment. They are in desperate need of this money.
This family is also in dire need of a vehicle to be able to take the children to and from school, activities, Jummah, Drs appointments, etc. It is said that “Giving Zakat is more beloved to Allah than giving in charity during the entire year” (Sahih Bukhari).

The Quran speaks of it being our duty as Muslims to help the needy and if you don’t have much to give, or even nothing, indeed, your intentions will still be blessed by helping share this needy family’s story with others. It is my dua that this family receives the help they are so desperate for and deserving of. Every penny counts towards this family’s needs and every share also.
