Can you give Santa a helping hand this holiday season?
The Woodbridge Workers Committee, an all-volunteer community organization, is having our annual toy drive for kids from low-income families in our community. This is the 20th consecutive year that I have played Santa and the children are looking forward to Santa’s arrival.
As the Holidays are approaching, our goal is to provide 300 high quality toys to be distributed to children on Christmas Eve. We ask your financial support in making this year’s celebration as joyful as those in the past. Our resources will be stretched as, due to government cutbacks, we are serving an increasing number of families. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we have no overhead. 100% of your donation will be used to purchase toys and other needed items.
The Woodbridge Workers Committee is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization established in 2005 and located in Woodbridge, VA. Due to COVID-19, our community coverage has expanded to include two trailer parks, a transient motel, day laborers and additional families in the community. We deliver donated food directly to the communities 4-5 days a week. We also distribute clothing and toiletries as they are donated.
Currently we are working with the families at Marumsco Trailer Park and Featherstone Trailer Park in Woodbridge. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make. For those who prefer to send a direct contribution, make checks payable to Woodbridge Workers Committee 14186 Logan Ct, Woodbridge, VA 22193 (EIN # 300300089). Your contribution will go a long way in brightening the Holiday season for children in our area.
