Syrian Refugee Family in Dire Need!

Hello,
My name is Amal Awad-Jumah, I am a teacher with Dearborn Public Schools (Michigan). A large family (nine people) of Syrian refugees are having serious trouble making ends meet and could really use your help. The youngest child is 2 years old. One of the children is a student of mine and I have had the opportunity to learn more about the family from talking to the student, talking to the parents and by visiting their home many times.
The father is physically challenged, with two metal rods in his legs and a shoulder injury (all war related). He and his son work at an Arabic restaurant, earning only $150/week and they only receive $515 per month in food stamps. The father can't be on his feet for very long and the son must help out after school. When they run out of money for the month, they barely have ONE meal per day. The mother is a stay-at-home mom with no English skills.
The family has only been in the country for 3 months and have a very difficult time communicating their needs. They need our help! I have been collecting donations from the school that I work at. I have collected gently used clothing and household items and a couple of people even donated CASH!! I have been taking items to their house, after school, almost on a daily basis since they live close to the school that I work at.
All the money donated will be used for basic needs such as food, utilities, rent, etc.
But...they need more help!! PLEASE, PLEASE donate anything you can to help this family. I am responsible for handling the donations since this family does not a bank account. I give you my word that all of your donations will go to them IMMEDIATELY!!
