Earlier this week, I met a woman who’s been living on the streets for the past eight weeks. She stays in a homeless shelter when she can raise $50 a night—but that doesn’t always happen and often she is sleeping on the street. She ended up in hospital last week because of how sick she got from the cold.

She has a caseworker trying to help her find permanent housing, but it's a slow process. I’ve stayed in contact with her (through a borrowed phone) and have covered a week of shelter, but that support runs out Tuesday.

I’m reaching out for help to cover temporary accommodation—around $350—or essentials like food, clothing, hygiene products, or even a basic phone if free housing becomes available. I'm looking into free housing options as much as I can, any leads or connections on this would also be very appreciated (she is in Sydney).
