Help Chris get the facilities he needs

Some of you may know Chris and his story already, but for those of you who don’t. Chris is a lovely caring thoughtful person with a great sense of humour. Here is a background and insight into how much of an important impact this money will make on both Chris & Sues lives!
Chris’ disability was caused by a traumatic birth that severely restricted his oxygen supply, and as a result he is quadruplegically affected by athetoid ataxic cerebral palsy. This means that he cannot live independantly as he cannot feed, wash or dress himself, the muscles that allow us to talk have been affected so he cant talk, sit or walk and uses an electric wheelchair that he can move using a joystick control himself.
Despite all the physical things he cant do, Chris is as intelligent as the next person, he speaks using a communication book where he spells words out, letter by letter to make sentences to have conversations, ask/answer questions.
He attended a mainstream school, Maghull High School where he was a popular member of the school. His passions are House music Football, Family and his dog Charlie, he's a staunch Evertonian.
He adores his 3 nieces and family life is massively important to him. Chris and his Mum, Sue, moved to a bungalow but their plans to adapt the bathroom and his bedroom to allow him to access a shower and fit a hoist to get into/out of bed from his wheelchair and a ramp to get into the house had to be abandoned when there was an unexpecteded change of circumstances.
An Occupational therapist referred Chris for a disabled facilities grant in February 2022 to provide a wetroom, a ramp and adapt Chris's bedroom for a hoist to be fitted but building costs have soared since covid and the cap on the grant hasn't risen in the last 30 years so, as the grant will contribute towards the work, Chris is required to pay the remaining £18,361.35 which includes £6k in vat that the Government charges on essential disabled access work.
This work will literally change Chris's life. He will be able to have a shower (instead of being bed bathed), have access to get himself into the house with a ramp for his electric wheelchair and enough room to fit a hoist in his bedroom and actually get his wheelchair into his bedroom to use the hoist. It will give him dignity and improve his quality of life.
Any donations big or small will all go towards helping Chris and are so greatly appreciated.
