Jamaica has been deeply affected by the recent hurricane, leaving many families without the comfort of a home-cooked meal or even clean water. We wanted to do something heartfelt and meaningful, so the ladies in my group are swimming to raise money for World Central Kitchen. Every lap we swim is a symbol of support, love, and hope for those who are struggling right now.

At Mexercise Plus, movement is about more than staying active — it’s about rebuilding confidence, healing old fears, and discovering your strength. With my background in Sports Psychology, GP-referred exercise, long-term condition management, personal training, and swimming teaching, I’ve seen how empowering movement can truly be.

Many of the women in my sessions once felt nervous or unsure in the water. Through encouragement, patience, and the power of community, they’ve overcome those barriers and found a new confidence in themselves.

Now, they’re taking that confidence beyond the pool. They’re swimming not only for their own growth but to help families in Jamaica who desperately need support.

Together, we’re proving that courage, compassion, and community can create real change — one lap at a time.
