Re-Building Sweet Elle +Supporting Our Employees
Donation protected
Sweet Elle Cafe has been a part of the Huntington Beach Community for over 11 years. We have had the pleasure and privilege of partaking in so many memories with our beloved customers who have now become our lifelong friends. We experienced life together.
Sadly, on March 4, 2019, we received a 30 day notice to vacate from our new landlord who acquired the property our cafe has resided in. With their vision of franchised anchor tenants to occupy the plaza, we have been completely caught off guard and are now in a rush to find and establish a new location for our beloved Cafe to serve you all again.
With our future slung into a sphere of unpredictability, and with the upcoming costs of building out our new Cafe at a new location, we humbly come before any willing and able followers, customers, and friends to help donate whatever they can to support not only our build-out but also our three main employees (Mama Hwang, Andrew and sous-chef, Carol Hwang aka Auntie Hwang). Our staff is what makes Sweet Elle, Sweet Elle and we want to support them in every way possible during this transition of unemployment. Our employees are our family and we want to help prepare them for our down-time.
Your donations will help us with relieving some major build-out costs for re-building our home and will also go towards helping our employees carry through financially the next several months while we go under construction. We plan on working together as a staff to re-build Sweet Elle 2.0 and come back together, in UNITY, to serve you all!
We thank you SO MUCH for your charity, generosity and embrace for our team and our Cafe. We will work diligently on re-opening Sweet Elle 2.0 to be stronger and better than ever. Please continue to stay updated with our posts! We look forward to serving you again soon!
