There are very few people in your life that you have only fond happy memories of…. laughing, making jokes, just smiling. Ray was that guy to all of us in high school. Always smiling, friends with everyone, truly - a SOLID, GOOD guy. God doesn’t make many of them.
Sadie Rae was blessed to have Ray, his wife, Jessica, and a beautiful sister. Ms. Sadie Rae was born with biliary atresia, a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts that occurs in infants.
God brought Sadie Rae into Ray’s life for a reason – he knew Sadie needed that solid, good guy, father and husband that Ray is.
As Ray so eloquently wrote…
“On March 1st, 2022, the most beautiful brightest star I’ve ever seen was born. My sweet Sadie Rae. My miracle baby. At one year old you have already touched the lives of thousands of people and you are a true inspiration of something so small that comes with a giant message of resilience and strength. The obstacles you have been thrown at you have stood no chance even before you took for first breathe.”
Tragically, Ray, Jessica, and their daughter's, lost Sadie today and had to say goodbye to their beloved baby, their sweet Sadie Rae.
“It is with the greatest sadness of our lives. This morning we had to say goodbye to our beloved baby, our sweet Sadie Rae my world, my best friend. Our hearts are completely broken into pieces. We did everything and sacrificed everything to try and save her. She fought like hell until the very end to her last breath as we held her and let her go peacefully and in no pain.”
Ray, his entire family, and the sweet “Rae” of Sunshine, Sadie, will be in all our prayers.
Rest easy, Baby Girl.
“May the wind always be on your back and the sun upon your face and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.”
