My name is Brittany Cooley and I am the God mother to sweet baby London. Jessica and I have been friends for nearly 30 years. We were best friends growing up and have many wonderful memories together. Jessica and Eric are good friends of ours and are so kind, selfless, and wonderful people.
Sweet baby London Olivia Chiles was born healthy on Thursday, April 23rd at 8 pounds 7 ounces 20.5 inches and brought a beautiful rainbow with her when she came into the world. She was so loved and was prayed for so hard for two years before she was conceived. Everyone was elated that she was finally here, a beautiful baby girl with a head full of hair!!
London was born with a heart murmur and the doctors were not at all concerned about it because they usually go away on their own. Wednesday morning, they noticed that London stopped breathing. CPR was done on London and the ambulance was called. When the ambulance arrived, London had no pulse. The paramedics were able to get her pulse back in the ambulance and rushed her to Blank Children's Hospital.
Doctors said the next 24 hours were critical and things were not looking good. We rallied up the troops near and far and prayed, and prayed, and prayed. After a day of tests, Jessica and Eric found out that precious London had an underlying heart condition, a congestive heart defect that caused her heart to fail and for her to stop breathing. The doctors and nurses did everything they could to help sweet London and Eric and Jessica are so thankful for them.
Jessica and Eric also did everything they possibly could to keep London with them on this earth. Their deep faith in Jesus turned them to pray continuously, they begged, pleaded with God, worshiped Jesus through music with London, and even got her baptized. They were able to spend London's last minutes of life, holding her and loving on her and comforting her when she gained her angel wings and entered Heaven at 3:10pm on Thursday, April 30th. To say they are completely devastated and broken is an understatement. I cannot even properly convey the depths of their pain and the brokenness they feel right now.
Jessica is still having health challenges, preeclampsia and very high-blood pressure. She was in the emergency room last night trying to get her blood pressure under control.
They have seven beautiful children together ( 6 on earth ) and finances should not be another stressor right now. They are both not working right now ( rightfully so ) and that means no income is being generated currently and honestly, who knows when that will be now. The money you donate will be used for the cost of giving London the proper home going, medical bills, and then cost of living to support their family. They are also doing genetic testing that will cost at least 1,000$. Bills will be piling up very soon.
Many have reached out and have said, "If there is anything I can do, please let me know." Something you can do is to donate money to help during this tragic time. Give generously and know that Jessica and Eric are so incredibly thankful for your love, prayers, and financial support during this time. They have been through some really hard times and are such incredible people, its our turn to be a blessing to them.

There is nothing we can say to make things better right now. I know that through our actions of donating money, and/or a meal or two will help lessen the heavy burden they are carrying right now. Your generous donations will be a tremendous blessing to this sweet family. No donation is too small, they are incredibly thankful! We realize that not everyone will be able to donate and that is okay. Your prayers of comfort and peace and strength are certainly needed and greatly appreciated!
Thank you for considering and please share this with your loved ones if you feel led.
