SHE GETS BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM HER FRIENDS

Hello, my name is Andi and my good friend Maria could use some help from her community.

If you know Maria at all, you know that she is an incredibly hard worker, fiercely independent and asking for help is not something she likes to do. She likes to be the helper.

Maria's family has had a rough couple of years and now her dad is facing some challenging health issues. He is stable and doing well but Maria is struggling financially because of all the time she has had to take off to care for his day-to-day needs. She truly needs to be there and be available to oversee his care and appointments, this is not something someone else can do for her.

If you have ever taken care of someone who was sick then you already know the toll it takes on you. It creates not just physical but emotional exhaustion. Constant worry about money only adds to the stress of an already unbearable situation.

Her employer has been incredibly kind and understanding in being flexible with her schedule but the hours off are making it difficult for Maria to keep her head above water financially.

On Maria’s behalf and with her permission I am asking you to help in any way you can. We are looking into other options as well, but in the meantime, there is an immediate need for financial help so she can care for her Dad without the constant worry of money looming over her.

I asked Maria recently how she was doing and she said, "I get by with a little help from my friends." Let's all pay it forward and help out a gal that is always ready to pitch in, never complains and always shows up in a crisis.
