On the early morning of Thursday, December 10th, Jenae and Adam were transported via ambulance from their home in St. Paul to the Grand Island hospital. The ambulance unfortunately got a flat tire on the way which extended the drive time and caused more anxiety and chaos awaiting another ambulance. Jenae had planned on delivering at Mary Lanning but due to the situation being extremely time sensitive, she delivered via emergency c-section at St. Francis Hospital. She endured a partial placental abruption. This traumatic event shook Jenae, Adam, and our family to our core.
Suttyn Craig Svoboda entered this world 7 weeks early weighing 4 lbs 2 ounces. He was immediately transferred to the NICU following birth and will continue to receive care there for the next few weeks.
Jenae has been staying in the NICU with Suttyn and Adam has been driving back and forth between St. Paul and Grand Island. Jenae referred to him as super dad as he is caring for Lennyn as well as supporting Jenae and Suttyn in the NICU.
Between the gas, food, hospital stay, and limited PTO hours due to unemployment in the last several months during Covid the expenses are beginning to build up. This sweet family has been through so much and baby Suttyn will spend the next several weeks in the NICU getting stronger. Let’s support them in any way we can.
