I am a 45 yr.old father of two young children,

an 11 yr.old and a 2 yr.old. Recently there's been issues between our landlord and a tenant that had a store below our apartment. During their disputes an inspector was sent to inspect our building. Due to a lack of a fire escape in the rear and very old wiring and outlets that don't work they condemned our apartment, deemed it unsafe and got the department of children and families involved. Now my children can't stay at the apartment with my wife and I, and we are forced to find a new apartment so we can live with our kids again. As of right now our 11 yr.old is staying with my oldest daughter and now our 2 yr.old is staying with my wifes brother with our help of course, we have exhausted our funds paying for hotels so he could be with us now we can't afford hotels and there is not room for us to stay at her brothers so we stay at the old apartment and come and go as much as we can to take care of our son. My wife has been a stay at home mom for the past 11 years and I am a carpenter by trade. I was in an accident a little over a year ago and we haven't had a vehicle since then, work for me has been a struggle since the accident because no contractors want to hire someone without transportation. I have been working here and there when work is local. And I have been seeking local employment that will pay enough to support a family of four.

We managed to get through the holidays and we made Christmas happen but now we need a place to live and we can't seem to get any help. As everyone knows it cost nearly $2,000 a month for a two or three bedroom apartment and cost almost $6,000 to move in. At this time every program we've contacted for help seems to be out of funds and unable to help. My wife and I have court soon and I fear we won't have a place to stay when its over. I don't like asking for help, and I'm willing to work for it, if someone wants to leave a message, there isn't much I can't do. From framing to finish I can build a house or repair anything on a house. Right now my biggest concern is keeping my family together, and it's hard to say but I need help. I've always been one to help everyone and anyone in anyway I can, I pray we can get help in our time of need.
