Hi, my name is Susie and I had brain surgery on Easter Sunday 2025.

At time of writing, it has been 7 days since it happened. I also have a 9 week old baby and a wonderful family. So yes, 9 weeks postpartum and then brain surgery. He is also my firstborn so I can't seem to catch break here! So far, it has affected my memory, coordination and other executive function skills but I think it's getting better everyday.

I am putting together this fundraiser to create a little pot of money for my family because at the moment, they're doing everything for me and I want to be able to do something significant for them. This will be especially important if I take a turn for the worst. At the moment, things are looking up and I think I will probably make a full recovery but there is always a possibility that this could happen again so it's a safety net for them.
