Help Susan serve on Mercy Ships

"Bringing hope and healing to the world's forgotten poor"

This is the mission statement for Mercy Ships, a faith-based organization that deploys hospital ships equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and a volunteer crew of doctors, nurses, medical staff, and many other caring people to some of the poorest countries in the world to provide safe surgeries to people in need.

I have the exciting opportunity to volunteer with Mercy Ships as a ward nurse from July 11 - September 8, 2024. I will be headed to Toamasina, Madagascar to serve aboard the Africa Mercy.

Every person serves on the ship as a volunteer and no wages or payments for services are received. This ensures that every dollar that is donated to Mercy Ships can go directly to direct patient care and community healthcare development. Not only is this an unpaid position, but I am also responsible for covering my travel to and from the ship, insurance while overseas, vaccines prior to travel, and usual living expenses while there.
