My name is Niamh Sullivan, and I’m from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. I attempted to take my own life on March 1st 2024.

on august 31st, 2025, one year after I finished a 336km thru hike that saved my life on the East Coast Trail, I’m walking for 24 hours straight with the hope that I can help prevent even one person from going through what I did.

this mission is called Survivor’s Lap, and it’s for everyone who didn’t think they’d live to see another day.

I’m walking to raise funds for Lifewise NL - a local mental health organization that changes the lives of those struggling with mental illness and addiction in Newfoundland.

I don’t know how far I’ll get, but I know exactly why I’m doing it.
