Survivors In Need Of Support
Donation protected
I am reaching out to you all with high hopes of helping a very special individual that is truly in need right now. On Sunday, September 1, 2024 Jordan Washington and his daughter Zion were on their way to visit his mother, who had recently been admitted to Buffalo General Hospital, to have dinner with her. While in route Jordan's vehicle was struck head on by a drunk driver traveling the wrong way on the expressway. Unfortunately the intoxicated driver did not survive the accident. This scenario usually ends with the drunk driver surviving and the innocent passengers perishing. Thankfully that was not the outcome and Jordan's family and friends are extremely grateful that his life, as well as his daughter's life, was spared.
Zion was released from the hospital the next day and after several days Jordan was released from the hospital as well. Although Jordan and Zion were able to survive the accident, they are both dealing with loss. Loss of a vehicle and other personal items, loss of health and mobility, and the most impactful loss...income! This accident is a major inconvenience for Jordan and his family. Not only did it cause Zion to be physically uncomfortable on her birthday, which was September 5th, it also robbed her and Jordan of being together that day. The start of the search of he and his fiancé's first home that was to begin this month, as well as their wedding that was to take place in 2025 has been paused indefinitely. Returning to work is not an option for Jordan right now with no date of return in sight. Jordan works in the transportation industry, an industry we all benefit from, and he loves his job. Because he is the head of his home, the rock of his immediate family, and someone called upon by many, these losses are taking a major toll on his physical, mental, emotional, and financial well being.
Even though the main focus via the media/social media was on the young man that caused the accident, Jordan did see the few mentions of concern for him and Zion and he is very grateful and wants to thank everyone that thought of them. If you know Jordan you know that he is extremely positive and taking everything in stride, but please know that his world has been shaken. We know that times are extremely difficult and stressful these days, so if you can find it in your heart to give whatever you feel is right please know that it will be appreciated and it will come back to you in due time. If everyone that rides the 33 can give just $1, we can meet this goal for Jordan. To all that donate, THANK YOU!!! To those that want to and can't, we truly understand.
Please don't DRINK and DRIVE!!! Think of the people that love you and those that will be affected by your decisions.
Peace☮️ and Love❤️
