Mohammed's family lives in northern Gaza, under siege and in extremely difficult conditions. The family consists of eight members and resides in a small tent made of nylon and fabric scraps, where there is no safe shelter, clean water, or sufficient food. Day by day, the family is forced to flee from one place to another in search of safety and their daily sustenance.
Mohammed's father, Mandouh, owned a sewing factory before it was destroyed by the war. As he ages and his health deteriorates, he suffers from heart attacks and atherosclerosis, and he cannot access the necessary medical care due to a lack of equipped hospitals and medications. This situation has left the family without a source of income after Mandouh lost his job.
Mohammed's mother is increasingly struggling with each passing day; she suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure and cannot perform daily household tasks due to her declining health. His brother, Mohannad, lost his job and home along with his family, and his ambitions and dreams have vanished in the midst of the war.
The eldest sister, Shahd, was preparing to take her high school exams and dreamed of studying engineering abroad, but the destruction of schools and universities has shattered her academic aspirations. The three younger children, Zeina, Safiya, and Ibrahim, all under the age of 16, have completely halted their education. Their small bodies have been weakened by the war, and their dreams have been crushed at a time when they should be living a childhood filled with education and safety.
Additionally, the family lost their car, which used to provide them with moments of simple joy on weekends, and their home was completely destroyed. Nothing remains for the family as it was before the war, and they are now appealing to anyone who can help them escape Gaza and secure travel and living expenses abroad, hoping for a dignified life.
