Surviving a Tragedy, help Nathan and Dominic J.

On Wednesday January 24th, 2024, we lost the lives of two loved ones to an unexpected domestic tragedy.

Shelley and Jeremy met and were together over 24 years, since there teenage years. They had two kids together, Nathan 19 years old and Dominic 14 years old. They loved to take their kids camping, fishing, hiking, and to festivals. They were very family-oriented. They would do anything for their kids. They will both be missed by many.

Shelley was a nurse (LPN), and Jeremy was mechanic. They both worked hard and played hard. Shelley had a smile and a laugh that would light up the room. They have had rough patches and family and friends tried reaching out, however they always ended up back together. We all wish they could have gotten the help they needed.

We do not know details that led up to this tragedy on Wed 1/24/24; however, we do know Shelley (42) passed away on Jan 24th after she was shot and killed by Jeremy. Jeremy (42) then took his own life. Jeremy is on life support but medically declared no brain activity. Jeremy's family decided to proceed with organ donation. This will take place today 1/29/24 as the family says their goodbyes.

The kids are devastated and left with no parents. We need to ensure the boys have access to necessary resources including professional guidance as they navigate their healing. Rachel (aunt of boys) and Jonathan have stepped up to take care of the boys. Rachel is taking on a great deal of responsibility making sure the boys needs are met. Both families are engaged in the well being of Nathan and Dominic’s lives.

In the meantime, I am asking anyone that knows this family or has met them to please help in any way they can. If you did not know this family and would like to donate that is wonderful too. I am starting this go fund me page as Shelley was like a sister to me and her family is my family. We need to all come together to help these children through this tragedy of the loss of their mother and father. Please pray for this family.
