Hi,

My name is Megan.  I'm putting this out to the public/to the universe in an effort to raise money for the following reasons. 

I am a single mother of two who I raise on my own. I am also a hospice nurse who loves the job and the people I work with. Last summer I developed necrotising fasciitis in my abdomen and was quite sick for several months. With the love and support of others I was able to recover, keep out home and return to a normal life.

Now I am facing new and honestly frightening health concerns. I was recently diagnosed with leukemia after labs and bone marrow biopsy were possitive. I have started treatment which I am tolerating pretty well. I was only anticipated to be out of work for a short time for this.

Unfortunately I started to develop neurological symptoms (numbness, pain, weakness, fatigue, tremors, balance issues, crippling headaches, vision changes, bladder issues, etc) and have required multiple MRIs, CT scans, labs and doctor appointments. I was also admitted to MGH neuro floor for a time. Under went a spinal tap and more imaging and labs while there. They have found that I have a demyelinating disease (a neurological disease that damages the nerves in my brain/spine). Doctors are leaning towards a diagnosis of MS but I still need further testing/work up to confirm this. Their concern is that the treatment for MS will cause a person to be immunocompromised. Where I already have leukemia I am already compromised.

FMLA is still pending and also only pays out roughly 60% of your pay and I still have to pay out of pocket for health insurance for myself and the kids.  I have no income. I get no child support. My savings is dry. I have used all of my resources.

Along with all these health concerns, my car which was paid off died about the same time as my cancer diagnosis was made. I had to get a new used car and now have a car payment that I don't know how I am going to make.

As a result of ALL of this I am losing my apartment. I can't afford to provide for myself and the kids. Also I really dont know how im going to facilitate a move and where might store some of our belongings.

I am reaching out asking for financial support.  I have outstanding rent, car, utility, mediacal and etc expenses. I am grateful for any thoughts and prayers and donations.  Please share this with those you know.
