Our Christian run club in Raleigh is coming together to make a difference for people experiencing homelessness in our city. On September 6, after our regular run, we plan to gather as a group and distribute 25+ thoughtfully assembled survival kits at the local bus station in downtown Raleigh. Each kit is designed to meet both physical and spiritual needs—providing essentials like toothpaste, a toothbrush, body wash, deodorant, hand sanitizer, socks, a poncho, hand warmers, a reusable water bottle, energy-dense snacks, electrolyte powder packets, a flashlight, a mini Bible, and a handwritten note of encouragement.
This project is deeply personal for our group. James 2:26 says, “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” We want to do more than just hand out supplies—we want to connect with each person we meet, offer prayer, and share the love of Jesus. Our hope is that these kits will not only meet immediate needs but also remind our neighbors that they are seen, valued, cared for, and deeply loved by Him.
Every donation will go directly toward funding the supplies for these kits and helping us make this outreach possible. We invite you to join us in this mission—putting our faith into action.
