Survival Day Darwin 2021

We need your help!

On Tuesday 26th January, the Darwin community will be coming together to Celebrate the Survival of Indigenous people and to mourn the invasion of Aboriginal land.

We, UP:Uprising of the People, want the Darwin community to march the streets with us again. We need to raise $6,250 to pay for Traffic control. Traffic control is needed to keep our people and community safe whilst we march on the streets.

2021 will mark the 5th consecutive year of Darwin’s Survival Day event. We invite the wider community to come together to share stories, music, food and their artistic expression around how we can celebrate as a nation respectfully and truthfully.

Truth telling is a crucial part of our country’s history and future. Truth telling is key to unlearning the ways that continue to oppress Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Listening to the truth, sharing space with Elders and marching together is empowering and uniting.

We appreciate all donations. This money goes directly towards supporting and keeping the community safe.

Thank you for supporting the community’s voice, please share with family and friends.
