Hi, my name is Jennifer and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friends, Jacquelyn and her husband, Ian.

In 2020, Ian was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. He fought with everything he had—and he won. But earlier this year, in 2025, what started as pneumonia that wouldn’t improve turned into devastating news: the cancer has returned, and this time it is terminal. Their world has been turned upside down.

Ian has always been the first to show up for others—through his work as a contractor, offering his time, or lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He is hardworking, kind, patient, and generous, yet also loves to laugh, sing, and dance. If you know Ian, you know his happiest days are spent on the boat at Adams Lake in the sunshine, or snowmobiling through the winter trails. He has built a life full of adventure, love, and beautiful memories with those closest to him.

Now it’s our turn to show up for Ian and Jacquelyn.

With Jacquelyn currently on leave to be by his side, and Ian being self-employed (meaning no work, no pay), the financial stress is heavy. They are facing truck repairs, unfinished projects, medications and supplements not covered by insurance, travel costs, and the everyday expenses that don’t stop.

This is the time Ian deserves to rest, recharge, and spend his days how he chooses—surrounded by love, without the weight of financial stress.
