On behalf of the family, we are heartbroken to share that Matt (Brown) passed away suddenly in an unexpected tragedy. His loss has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his wife, Ellen, their two sons, Logan and Alex along with their respective significant others Mia and Chloe, and his first grandchild, Wyatt, who is just four months old.
Matt was the steady center of their family. A devoted husband, a proud dad, a loving grandfather, and someone who always showed up for the people he cared about. His absence is felt in every corner of their lives.
As the family navigates the emotional weight of losing him far too soon, they are also adjusting to the everyday realities that come with such a sudden loss. Ellen, a dedicated and deeply loved teacher, is doing everything she can to care for her family and maintain a sense of stability as they all begin to understand what life looks like without him.
Many friends, colleagues, and loved ones have reached out asking how they can support the family during this time. The gestures, meals, and prayers have meant more than words can express. As the shock settles and the family begins to navigate the day-to-day reality of life without Matt, one of the greatest gifts anyone can offer is simply helping create a little breathing room.
This fund was created for those who feel moved to contribute in a way that helps lighten the load as Ellen and the boys find their footing again. Your support will give them the space to grieve, to adjust, and to take care of what needs tending without carrying every burden at once.
Contributions will help with:
• Keeping the household steady and supported
• Continuing stability as the family moves through this transition
• Providing a cushion as Ellen figures out what life looks like from here
There is no expectation or requirement, only an opportunity for those who wish to offer tangible care, compassion, and support to a family navigating the unimaginable.
Thank you for holding Ellen, Logan, Alex and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Every gesture of support truly makes a difference during this incredibly difficult time.
