Surgical Travel Expenses for Jim Solo

Hi my name is Ingrid & I am Jim Solo’s wife.

My husband is a well-known drummer on the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador as a full time musician for the past 40+ years.

Jim recently has been struck with many health issues some quite severe, the most recent of which and the purpose for this fundraiser is to help raise funds to assist with the travel expenses that will be incurred in order to have surgery in St. John’s NL. Jim’s required to have a kidney removed…..it is not an option.

We currently are dealing with some brain damage that has incurred from November 2024. Jim will not recover from this damage. This damage to his brain has ultimately affected his balance tremendously and therefore, unable to work as a musician any longer. We’ve gone from a two-person income to a single. Thus this upcoming expense for his kidney removal is adding to an already stressful time for my Jim.

This condition with his kidney was completely unexpected and unfortunately we must travel in order to have the necessary surgery.

The donated funds will assist with the travel & accommodations to and from St. John’s.
