Sheryl Nelson is a Grammy, a mother, and an amazing sister and friend. In February 2024, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had successfully shrunk the tumor with chemo. In January 2025, she had surgery to remove the tumor and has had complication after complication, sending her into ICU as of this date, 1/30/25.

Her daughter Meghan is her sole caretaker and is a mom of 2 kids with a full-time nursing job, and her partner Dan is in between jobs. Meghan moved down to Florida to support Sheryl during her chemo but lives 2 hours from the hospital where Sheryl is, and it has been difficult with car issues, juggling work and home responsibilities to spend time with Sheryl.

These funds will help support Meghan to be with her mother during this time. Meghan is a nurse and is the best person to be by Sheryl's side as she hopefully recovers.
