EDIT: From Natalie, Isaac, Jade, Jack & Elise
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has reached out, shared memories, donated, or simply held us in your thoughts. The love and support shown to our family has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way.
Dean fought so hard for so long, and knowing how loved he was brings us comfort during this time. Your kindness and generosity is helping us more than you will ever know, and we are forever grateful.
On Sunday, the 7th of December, we lost one of the kindest, most resilient, and caring humans to ever walk this earth.
Dean passed away at just 47, after fighting an incredibly hard battle with cancer. He fought with everything he had, every single day. And although the battle was his, he never faced it alone. Natalie stood beside him through every appointment, every treatment, and every moment of care carrying the weight with him, unwaveringly.
Dean’s suffering began years before his cancer diagnosis. He started dialysis in 2017 at just 39, and although he received a kidney transplant in 2019, it only lasted a couple of years. He soon found himself back on dialysis nearly every day. This long, relentless struggle was at the heart of so much of his pain. And yet, through it all, he showed extraordinary strength.
Dean leaves behind his beautiful wife, Natalie, and their children Elise, Jack, Jade, and Isaac.
He adored his family, and for more than three years he never gave up fighting for just one more day with them. Anyone who knew him saw how deeply he loved them, how proud he was, and how fiercely he fought to stay here with them.
Before his illness, Dean was strong, fit, and full of life. He lived every moment to the fullest. Watching him fight so bravely through years of suffering is something no family should ever have to endure.
We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease the overwhelming financial pressure and to support Natalie, along with the youngest children, Elise and Jack, in the months ahead. We understand that not everyone can afford donating, however if you’re able, please consider sharing this page. Even a simple share helps more than you know and means the world to the family.
Natalie, you are the strongest and most courageous person. You walked every step of this journey with Dean. We are all here for you, and we are sending all the love we have.
Dean, we will miss you every single day.
Ride in peace.
