Hola,

Hello,

We are starting this fundraiser to support Angel and our family, as he has now been released from detention.

On June 23, Angel was kidnapped by ICE at Home Depot while he was seeking work. From there, he was brought to a large term detention facility where he connected with community members across the country. Angel, through his faith, brought moral and financial support to those in detention with him. Through his commissary, he provided food to his fellow incarcerated community members. After being released, Angel financially supports the families of those who are still detained. As one piece of this support, he provides funds to those still detained so they can call their family members. In most states, phone calls are costly in prisons and long-term detention facilities. His work allows loved ones to reach one another while the state tries to disappear them.

On July 22, Angel was released on bond. Unfortunately, he is unable to work, and they took away his driver's license. Angel is the father and primary provider to three kids (9, 12, and 18). Our family would be grateful for any support from the community to navigate these difficult times. Angel is also asking for support from the community on behalf of those still incarcerated in inhumane conditions.

Thank you for your care and solidarity.
