Thank You So MUCH for all of the holiday help for the girls and JoJO helping them have a great holiday with a single parent unable to work!
Here is an update on JoJo’s story. After the Stroke, Josephine has been struggling to recover as her left side is still having some stability issues making it impossible for her to return to work as at Denver Public Schools as a cook.
The type of stroke she had is the kind that usually a person does not recover to walk or talk. She is a fighter though and she is getting around with a cane and her left arm is working...most of the time!
She was to have surgery on the 3rd of January to repair a hole in her heart which is causing the blood clots which could cause another stroke. Her body is currently not strong enough to have the sugery. As she is not strong enough for any type of cancer treatments currently the doctors are trying to stabalize her immunity with some new medications.
With all of the medications she is having to take her stomach is now having issues keeping food down, and they make her extrememly tired.
She has applied for disability and the first request was denied. This is pretty common and is in the appeal process but her worker stated it could be a couple of more months.
The biggest stresser currently is rent. Food stamp assistance should be coming in any day now so that is a huge blessing.
We need donations of cash to help pay her monthly bills from now until April. Her rent is $375.00 as she is currently in low income housing but that rate does not change as it was based on her income. With no way to work and a hold on disability it is a huge stress trying to figure out how to pay the rent.
We need prayers lots and lots of prayers.
We need help with basic household help (toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries, and assistance with laundry as well as household cleaning supplies)
It is hard to ask for help so I am reaching out on her behalf, she is a true blessing to so many, now it is her turn to be blessed!
