My name is Seán Stack, and I will be travelling to Zomba, Malawi, in July 2026 as part of a team of volunteers working with the Chifundo Foundation. This follows on from a jersey collection drive I organised last year, where more than 250 jerseys were donated for the children in Zomba.

I am a painter and decorator by trade, and during this trip I will be sharing my practical skills in painting and signwriting with young people in Zomba. Through hands-on workshops, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of signwriting, including surface preparation, laying out lettering, cutting in clean edges, applying backgrounds, and building up solid colour coverage. The focus will be on developing accuracy, control, and understanding of visual presentation.

Funds raised will be used to purchase essential materials and supplies in Ireland for the project in Malawi. These materials will allow students to practise the techniques they learn and gain valuable hands-on experience. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help provide the resources needed to support this work.

This experience will give me the chance to make a positive difference while also learning more about everyday life in Malawi. Thank you for helping me to support the important work of the Chifundo Foundation.
