Supporting Our Family Through a Tough Time

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and a deep sense of humility. For those of you who know my husband, Jerry is a man who will give the shirt off his back if it meant helping another in need without a need for explanation. Jerry was helping a family member move a large refrigerator last week and was involved in an unfortunate accident that has left him bed ridden and now requires intensive surgery to his foot which will take place in the coming weeks. Being on his feet is a critical part of Jerry's day to day life. As the owner of his own window installation company and a man who is constantly on the move providing for his family, church and his community; being forced to stay in bed recovering is going to be a struggle like one Jerry has never faced. We can use your help!

I love my husband with all of my heart and will do anything to bring him peace of mind. Thankfully I have my income but unsure how I will meet our necessary expenses along with any medical expenses and business expenses. The bills will pile up over the next few months since Jerry won't be bringing in any income at all.

His recovery will be long and challenging. He’ll need to be off his feet for at least 12 weeks, with a full recovery not expected for six months or more. We don't have workers' compensation, disability pay, or a safety net. We have 4 children in which three live at home still. Jerry is a good provider, a wonderful husband and an amazing dad.

We’ve always done our best to prepare for life’s unexpected turns—but this situation has had a much greater financial impact than we could have anticipated. I've never written a Go-Fund-me before and really not sure how to go about asking for financial help. It’s not easy for us to ask for help. We’ve always tried to be the one's lending a hand.
