Our parents are the kind of people who have always shown up for others-quietly, generously, and without expecting anything in return. Asking for help does not come easily to them, but our family has reached a point where support is truly needed.
In 2024, my mom was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, which has since spread to her lung and bones. While undergoing treatment, she suffered a fall during a hospital procedure and fractured her right leg, leaving it significantly weakened. Tragically, the day after Christmas she fell again and fractured her left leg in 3 places. Because she is now non-weight bearing on her left leg and her right leg remains weak, she is currently chair-bound. While she was in an inpatient rehab center, a wheelchair ramp had to be built quickly just to allow her safe access in and out of the house. She now relies on wheelchair van transportation for all cancer treatments, orthopedic visits, and medical appointments.
As if this were not enough, while my Dad was in the hospital after suffering a small stroke, he was also diagnosed with cancer. Both of our parents are now undergoing treatment at the same time.
Between medical bills, transportation costs, home modifications, and ongoing care needs, the financial burden has grown rapidly and continues to mount. These are expenses no one can fully prepare for, especially when they come all at once.
Our parents are people who would much rather give than receive, and it is difficult for them to ask for help. But right now-whether financial, emotional, or simply sharing this page - means more than words can express.

Funds raised will go toward:
Medical bills and treatment related expenses.
Wheelchair transportation to and from appointments.
Home accessibility modifications and medical equipment.
Daily living expenses during treatment and recovery.

If you are able to donate, we are deeply grateful. If you are not, sharing this page or keeping our parents in your thoughts and prayers is just as appreciated.

Thank you from Pat and Bobbie Hobbs, Tanya, Tracey, and Tom.
