Supporting the Tucker Family

Hi, my name is Amanda Bortz. I work closely with Julie Tucker at Elara Caring Home Health. I have known Julie for nearly 4 years and have had the pleasure to hear first hand her fondest family memories. If you know anything about Julie- you know that she is strong in her faith, and that she loves her family with a deep passion.

On Wednesday, May 1st- Julie's husband, Chris, suffered a massive heart attack. Tragically, he was not able to recover and passed away peacefully in the hospital on Saturday, May 4th.

Julie has a strong immediate family that includes her 3 children, Morgan, Ryan, Nathan, and 1 sweet little grandson Liam. They all loved their Dad and Pawpaw to no end.

Chris has been on the kidney transplant list for 5 years and was due to get a new kidney any day now. To say this is devastating is an understatement. Julie and Chris had many goals, and dreams post kidney transplant.

Although I only knew Chris well through Julie's stories- I know that Chris never met a stranger, lit up the rooms he entered, would do ANYTHING for his family (especially little Liam who had him wrapped around his finger), and he would want his family to carry on his legacy with joy and happiness, standing strong in their faith that God has a unique plan for everyone.

Julie is the matriarch of her family (and this office here at Elara Caring). What we want more than anything is for Julie to be able to grieve without financial worry. We want her to be able to hold each one of her babies and guide them through this uncharted territory without any monetary burdens stopping her.

I am creating this GoFundMe for her to be able to do whatever it is she needs to for her and her family to grieve. Weather that be DoorDashing a meal, planning a memorial, ordering a cleaning lady, or paying a bill. Just know that these are the most deserving people in the world to donate to. As well as the most UNdeserving of this tragedy. If you cannot offer anything money wise, I know that Julie would be so grateful for your prayers and thoughts.
