My name is Kristin, and I’m creating this GoFundMe to support the Spanish immersion daycare where my son attends, as well as the teachers and staff who care for our children every day. I am personally connected to this community as a parent, and I want to help provide support during a time of heightened stress and uncertainty due to recent ICE activity in Minnesota. The educators at this center have shared that immediate assistance with basic necessities would be most meaningful right now. All funds raised through this GoFundMe will be withdrawn by me, Kristin, and deposited into my personal bank account for me to purchase the grocery gift cards. I am organizing this fundraiser independently as a parent, not as a representative of the daycare. I will be solely responsible for managing the funds, including purchasing online grocery gift cards and distributing them directly to each teacher and staff member. All funds will be distributed equally among staff members in the form of grocery gift cards. These gift cards are intended to help cover food and essential needs while reducing the need for additional trips outside the safety of their homes during this time. The gift cards will be purchased and distributed once funds are available. Every dollar donated will go directly toward these grocery gift cards.
