On Saturday, 17/1/2026 the Sunderland Family went through one of the most horrific life events imaginable.

At only 18 years of age, their son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend, Jesse, was tragically killed in a car accident and passed away at the scene.

The news no parent ever wants to hear had to be broken to Leigh, Liesha, Darcy and Kobee. Their world as they know it has changed forever. Due to the tragic, unexpected circumstances, we are asking anyone who is able to help in any way, however small, to please contribute whatever is possible to help raise funds for Jesse’s farewell. Hopefully we will be able to take a small amount of pain and worry off their shoulders and help get Jesse the send off he deserves.

We have also set up a “Gather my Crew” account for anyone who is not able to contribute in a financial way but would still like to help. At this stage we are arranging cooked meals, helping looking after the livestock, picking up groceries and helping with Jesse’s two younger brothers should they need a break.
