Supporting the Showers Family
Donation protected
My name is John Buchanan, family friend of the Showers family.
Nolan Showers, 16 years old, from Uxbridge On, was killed while rollerblading. Just 2 short days previous, Nolan signed with the Northumberland Stars Jr A hockey club in Colborne. His family along with his hockey family, were so excited about the upcoming season. He was an amazing kid! His smile was contagious, and he was loved by everyone he came in contact with. The Showers family were close to moving into their forever home, as a family unit. Sadly a peice of that family puzzle will not be a part of what is suppose to be a new chapter in this families book of life. I am hoping to raise monies to have an Oak Tree (Nolan's Moms favorite tree) purchased, delivered and planted when the family are ready for it. We are hoping that having a tree grow with the family at their new home, will give the family some sense of peace, for years to come, and that Nolan will always be at the family home, shading them from any pain they are and will continue to feel.
Any monies leftover, after purchasing the tree, will go to Jumpstart Canadian Tire, in memory of Nolan.
