Our dear friends Mikaila and Ramiro Ruiz are walking through a challenging season with strength, faith, and love. Ramiro, the steady provider for their family, recently suffered a spinal injury when a disc ruptured, leading to emergency surgery. His recovery will take time and physical therapy before he’s able to return to work.

Mikaila, who works as a physical therapist, continues to do everything she can to support their family—working as much as possible while seven months pregnant and caring for their two little ones at home. Her determination and grace through it all have been incredible to see.

The Ruiz family has always been the kind of people who show up for others—kind, generous, and deeply involved in their church and community. Now, as they face unexpected medical and household expenses, we have the chance to show up for them in return.
