If you know me at all, you know that doing something like this takes a lot out of me.

I’ve always been someone who tries to handle things on my own and push through whatever life throws our way. Asking for help does not come naturally to me, and creating this fundraiser was not an easy decision. But several friends and family members asked how they could help during this time.

Recently, my husband Dee suffered a T7 compression fracture in his back and will be unable to work for several weeks while he heals. Anyone who knows Dee knows how hard he works for our family, so being forced to slow down has been incredibly difficult for him.

Not long after that, we experienced another unexpected setback. The retaining wall leading down to our basement steps collapsed, sending bricks, mud, and water into our basement and causing significant damage.

We are very thankful that insurance has accepted our claim, which is a huge blessing. However, we are responsible for the $2,000 deductible, and there may be additional costs that insurance does not fully cover. During this time, my income will temporarily be the only source of income for our family while Dee recovers.

Many people have reached out asking how they can help, and the prayers, encouragement, and kindness we’ve already received truly mean the world to us.

If anyone feels led to support our family during this time, we would be incredibly grateful. Any funds will go toward our insurance deductible, unexpected repair costs, and helping keep things stable while Dee heals.
